Divakar Ghodake speaks about his Oscar connection

Divakar Ghodake, the director of
upcoming Marathi film CHITRAFIT 3.0 MEGAPIXEL, has been a part of many Oscar nominated films in the past. He started his career in Los Angeles, where he worked for seven and a half years.

Speaking about his stepping stones to success, he said, “I started working with Rhythm And Hues Studio where we made short films for Channel V (the foreign company). I then worked for the Alpenliebe crocodile ad which featured Kajol.”

When asked about his movies that went at the Oscar Awards, he said, “I have received credits for 17- 18 Hollywood movies amongst which GOLDEN COMPASS and YOGI BEAR were nominated for the Oscars. GOLDEN COMPASS won the Oscar for Best Visual Effects in 2007.” Speaking about his contribution in Hollywood otherwise, Divakar said, “I have also worked as a Sr. Technical Director in films like THE A-TEAM, MONEYBALL & THE MUMMY: TOMB OF THE DRAGON EMPEROR amongst others.

His Marathi directorial debut, CHITRAFIT 3.0 MEGAPIXEL is produced by Rahul Borse & Abdul RC and co-produced by Somnath Devkar & Jeevan Patil. It will be releasing all over Maharashtra by STV and Pickle Entertainment, who have joined hands as co-distributors.

CHITRAFIT 3.0 MEGAPIXEL has graceful Music by Yug and very realistic Set and Production Design by Dinesh Lahase.

The
film stars Seema Azmi and Ashish
Pathode in pivotal roles. The film also stars Ravi Patwardhan, Gauri Shankar, Shefali Maydeo, Dansing Rajput, Mike Hevan, Nerav Soni, Vinita, Mahesh Rale, Isha, Sachin Kabir, Vipul Patil, Meenal Chirankar, Komal and Suhas Shirsath. CHITRAFIT 3.0 MEGAPIXEL is cinematographed by Sachin Kabir and is all set to release on 20th February, 2015
